Preamble
Go-Care is a faith-based membership charity organization that envisions an economically advanced service to the Lord Jesus Christ and its servanthood. It was formed due to the economic and financial challenges of pastors, deacons, the congregation, the church and its ministries, the vulnerable, and the community. It is a social program intended primarily mainly to unleash the economic potential of the pastors, deacons, congregation, churches, and its ministries, the vulnerable, and the community by training them in various skills for sustainable entrepreneurship and accelerated economic growth for themselves, their households, the church, the community they live in and the surrounding areas.
As an additional charity work, Go-Care will also focus on women's economic empowerment, as they are left aside in many activities, by training them in entrepreneurship and various skills to make them financially independent. Assist orphans and child-headed homes in providing safe accommodation, food, school fees, and entrepreneurship skills. We will provide water and sanitation health (WASH) as most of the churches and surrounding communities are in dire need of these amenities. Relief services to communities during times of famine, disease outbreaks, and all other natural disasters that may put people in life-threatening positions or economic hardships.
As a foundation, we believe pastors should be regarded as pious people and role models in a community who protect churches or ministries. Though it is like this, pastors are not regarded as beneficiaries of economic empowerment; therefore, they are left aside in many activities. This brings a lot of problems when there is a disaster, such as the Covid 19 pandemic. As a result, most pastors are left to suffer psychologically, physically, and financially as a result of a lack of financial support and entrepreneurship skills to help them generate income on their own. In Malawi there are a few pastors with skills in entrepreneurship and there are a lot without skills. Additionally, there are a lot of pastors who have shown commitment to engage in business. At Go-Care, there is a need for us to increase this capacity through conducting entrepreneurship skills training and offering start-up finance assistance where possible, and also to provide psychological, social, and material support to the pastors, the church and its ministries, the vulnerable, and the community.
